Frisians were named after their home, the Dutch Friesland, and are one of the oldest horse breeds in Europe. They have a characteristic black coloured coat, a magnificent mane and a pretty tail. Another feature of Frisians is the long hair on their legs. The Frisian mare by Schleich Horse Club has elaborate braiding on her fetlock, which makes her a unique collector’s item.
Frisians are big, strong horses, but they have a very docile and friendly nature.
